Revision Knee and Hip Replacements

While knee and hip replacements may last your entire lifetime; some may fail and require revision surgery. Knee and hip replacements can fail due to excessive wear on the plastic insert. This can lead to debris formation, local soft tissue reactions and pain. Components which have been implanted for many years can loosen from their fixation and cause disability and impairment in function.   

If you have a previous knee or hip replacement which is causing you disability, pain, loss of motion or function you may be a candidate for revision surgery after thorough evaluation.
